Our Story
You’ve got mail. Not unlike the 1998 romantic comedy, our story started out very much the same. But not as many books.
It was 2017, and Jeff had been living in Boise for seven years. Julie was living in Colorado. Her family had roots in Idaho, but she had never lived there. Looking to make a change and buy a home, her co-worker, a high school friend of Jeff’s, made the digital introduction. It started with a series of questions about life in Boise, to which Jeff enthusiastically replied. A few more emails and Julie was convinced. She moved up in April of that year and found her perfect home. The relationship was a casual friendship at first, hanging out making introductions to friends and hot spots. Eventually though it turned romantic with a hot date to the Go-Kart track.
September 2020 brought the proposal, at a cut flower farm outside of town. Wedding planning wasn’t at the forefront of importance considering the ongoing pandemic, but now we’re going big!
We’re so excited for you to join us as we say “I do” at our wedding in October of 2022. See you soon!

Accommodations
Boise is a charming small city. We’ve chosen our recommended lodging options to facilitate a car-free trip for our guests. The venue is a short walk from these, and the brunch would be a short lyft, or bike ride. We have not reserved any room blocks, feel free to search for accommodations that work best for you.

We love that you’re considering staying longer than our wedding. Here our some of our favorite local attractions. They are in order of distance from downtown—for those that dare.

The Anne Frank Memorial
In 1995, a traveling exhibit on Anne Frank drew in tens of thousands of visitors from around Idaho. This overwhelming interest sparked the idea for a more permanent tribute. In 2002, their long-held vision was realized, and the Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial opened to the public. Since its opening, the Memorial has welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors to better understand the human rights challenges our world faces today.

Built in 1870, the Old Idaho Penitentiary is one of only four territorial prisons open to the public today. During its 101 years of operation, the site saw escapes, scandals and the effects of Boise’s transition from the “wild west” to a mid-20th century capital city.
